Home Information Packs (HIP's)

What is a Home Information Pack?

A Home Information Pack is what all home owners need to have before they can put their properties up for sale on the market.

It includes documents that are required when homes are bought and sold.

These documents are:

An index (a list of the contents)
A sale statement (summarising the terms of sale)
Evidence of title (documentation that you own the property)
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
PIQ (property information questionnaire)
Standard searches(local authority + drainage and water search)
Commonhold information (where appropriate)
A copy of the lease (where appropriate)

How quickly will I receive my completed HIP?

The pack only needs to have various components in place before you can market your property,This is what we call a BASIC HIP.

We can have all the components in place for your BASIC HIP the same day, depending on gaining access to the property to complete the Energy Performance Certificate and the seller completing the Property Information Questionnaire.

We will send you and any Agents you have working on your behalf a copy of the BASIC HIP as soon as it becomes avaliable so you can market your property ASAP.

We aim to have the remaining components ready and added to the HIP within 5 days to complete it.

Who pays for the Pack?

The seller is responsible for the cost of a Home Information Pack.

We have developed this package as we feel home owners are being over charged for this service by the big Home Information Pack Providers.

We have extensive local knowledge so we can provide the Hip with a quick turn around so you can have your Home information Pack ready for potential buyers as soon as possible.
